Finding the IMEI number of your iPhone is quite the same as android mobile. Let’s start with the first option.
1. Type *#06# in iPhone Dial Pad
*#06* is a universal key that is used to find your mobile IMEI number. It is very easy to use and fully compatible with all brand devices. Type it on the mobile dial pad and you will get your IMEI numbers.
2. Check Your iPhone Settings
Open your iPhone Settings and then click on General >About. Scroll down to find the IMEI number.
3. On your iPhone Device
you can find your 15-digit IMEI number at the backside of your iPhone. Also, you can check your device’s sim tray. IMEI number is printed by the manufacturer on it.

How to use Find My app on the iPhone?
Find My app is Apple’s application which is preinstalled in all Apple devices. Using this app users can find their lost devices and locate them. Follow the given steps to learn how to use it.
1. Tap on Setting and then tap your Name.
2. Then tap Find My iPhone option.
3. You will see all the setting which you can enable to track your device turn them on.
Note: If Find My set up on your iPhone then your Apple Watch and AirPods will automatically be set up too.
Enable Offline Finding allows you to find your devices even if it’s not connected to the internet or cellular network.
Send Last Location allows you to send the last location of the device when your battery is critically low that way you can look up its last unknown location if your battery dies.
Locate Your Device: To locate a missing device click on the Find Me app and then click on Devices. You can see a list of connected devices with Find My enabled.
Tap the device and then swipe up on the handle to see more options.
You can see your name at the top and some options like Play Sound, Directions, Notifications, Mark As Lost and Erase The Device.
If it looks like your device is nearby but you still can’t find it then you can use Play Sound and your misplace device will ring and you can hear that sound. With this, you can find it if it’s under the bed or in the next room.
Tap on Direction if your device is far or in an unfamiliar location. It will guide you to your device location.
If you think you lost your device you can click on Activate under Mark As Lost. This lets you remotely lock your missing device with its passcode, and will display a message with contact information on the screen.
Note: Missing device must be connected to the internet to activate the Mark As Lost mode.
If you are worried about your private information that is stored in your iPhone which you lost, then you can use Erase This Device feature to erase your device. However, once you erase the device you will not be able to track it.
Share Your Location: You can also use Find My app to share your location with your friends and family. To do this tap People and then click on Start Sharing Location. Then find and select the contacts and tap send. You can select the time frame from the given options.

Google’s Find My Device
You can use Google Find My Device in two ways. The first one is to download it from the Google Android app store and install it and the second one is by visiting Google’s official Website and login with the same registered email id that you were using in mobile to track your device.
How does It work?
After downloading the app, sign in with your registered email id, if you’re already signed in then, you will see a map with your device location.
On the Home screen, you will see three options Play Sound, Lock, and Erase. Each of them has its importance and work with all device.
Play Sound on Android Device
If you forgot your device or misplace it in nearby, then you can tap Play Sound and your phone or tablet will start ringing. Tap on the Stop Sound button once you find it.
Secure Your Android Device
Using this feature, you can secure your mobile and lock it also you can add your contact details as a message on your mobile screen so that if anyone finds it can contact you. To use this feature, tap Lock then types a message and your mobile number tap lock to confirm the action.
Erase Your Android Device
If you have private information in your lost mobile then you can use the Erase Device feature. It will erase all the files and sign you out from all websites and apps that you were using on the mobile phone.
Remember this is one time shot which means once you click Erase Device, it will erase your data and you cannot recover it and cannot track it.

The Government of India (GOI) has unveiled the (CEIR) Central Equipment Identity Register which allows users to track a lost phone. Or block it. This advanced technology will work even if the SIM card is removed or changed.
All this is managed by the (CDT) Centre of Development of Telematics. They work with all the telecom operators and other regulatory authorities to track lost smartphones in all over India.
Follow these steps and track your mobile
1. The first step is going to your nearest Police station and register a lost or stolen phone complaint and keep a copy of the report
2. Then contact your service provider about your mobile and ask them to issue a duplicate SIM card. It is very necessary to get a duplicate number as when you request the service provider to block the IMEI number then you will get an OTP on this number
3. In the next step visit the official website for blocking the IMEI and don’t forget to attach the required documents when asked. You will need some documents for this like a copy of the FIR, ID proof, Mobile Bill, etc.
4. You will get an OTP on your mobile number that you entered, make sure you enter the same number which was last active on the phone when it got lost.
5. After that, you will get a request ID with the help of which you can check the status of the request
Note: When you file an FIR against a lost or stolen mobile phone, the network operator will blacklist the device and share its IMEI number with the central database and other operators. This small step will ban the device and it doesn’t work on any network even if the SIM card is removed or replaced.
