And with three different versions to choose from, there’s a Switch out there for every kind of gamer.

The Nintendo Switch OLED model features a 7-inch OLED screen that offers vivid colors and sharp contrast. It also includes a wide adjustable stand, a dock with a wired LAN port for TV mode, 64GB of internal storage and enhanced audio from the system’s onboard speakers when playing in handheld and tabletop modes. Discounts on this upgraded model are pretty much nonexistent, but you can save $40 when shopping premium renewed models at Amazon, which are about as close to new as you can get.

The regular version of the Nintendo Switch, which is now essentially the midsize model between the larger OLED and the smaller, handheld-only Lite versions, is only available at its usual $300 price at the moment. That said, you can get a Best Buy Geek Squad Certified refurbished model for $270 with a 90-day warranty. Like the OLED, this model is a hybrid that can be used as a handheld on the go or in tabletop mode for multiplayer gaming, as well as in conjunction with a TV while at home for a more traditional console experience.
Optimized for personal, handheld play, this system is small and light, with a unibody design including fully integrated controls. It’s compatible with all physical and digital Nintendo Switch games that support handheld mode, but you can’t dock it with your TV like the bigger system. While there’s no direct discount, you can grab a Geek Squad Certified refurbished version from Best Buy for $180, and it comes with a 90-day parts and labor warranty.

Fortunately, it’s easy and affordable to add some extra protection. These amFilm screen protectors are durable and scratch-resistant while still retaining ultraclear visibility and touchscreen sensitivity.
These are designed for the standard Switch console, but there’s deals on protectors for the OLED model as well.
